March 12-13, 2021
We’ll join our friends there to expand their inventory and showcase over 120 varieties of classic and rare heirloom tomato seedlings starting on the 12th. Note: The nursery is closed on Sundays so this event is Friday/Saturday.
This year, however, the event starts online to make the most of safety protocols. Order ahead and pick up your favorites. Or select a few and come in on a quiet afternoon during the week to fill out the rest of the garden. Our collection of curated extras, plus other veggies and herbs, will be on property through early April.
And while Scott Klittich and his team of pros are also very dedicated to garden education, you’ll understand that we’ll forego classes on site this year. Stay tuned though for some online education that will get you started on the right foot. Check their website or our Tomatomania site for details closer to the event.
When you’re done choosing the stars of your veggie garden be sure to leave some time to browse through the most amazing rose offerings anywhere. Our event usually finds the grounds in full and fragrant bloom. (If you’re a true rose maniac you won’t want to miss their Rose Days Celebration, coming up later in April!) Plus, their new formal Rose Garden is all finished and a real showstopper. Plan to walk through while you’re there.
