El Cajon, CA The Water Conservation Garden
February 24 – 25 (Fri/Sat), 2023
9am – 4pm
El Cajon, we’re back! We’ve missed you and look forward to returning to the highly respected (and uber-relevant) Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon for our first and southernmost event of the ’23 season!
The event will look a little different this year, as our friends at the Garden will take center stage as they join us in this PARTNER EVENT. Garden staff and docents will handle all event needs and on this weekend you won’t find many modern hybrid tomatoes in the mix. (We’ll be Early Girl free) We’re going crazy with rare new finds, amazing heirlooms and noted classics.
Six acres of exemplary native and drought tolerant plantings (plus educational features that make this like the best hort class ever) show Southern Californians that gardening and water conservation can still go hand in hand and how that should be done in the reclaimed desert we call home.
We’re not sure how much space we can devote to fertilizers and other add-ons but we’ll do our best to make those available in this event rejuvenation this year.
