Healy’s Pride Melon
This heirloom melon was donated to Seed Savers Exchange in 1997 by a Minnesota family. It is named after the donor’s mother and has been grown by three generations of the family since about 1914.
Melons were developed and domesticated in Africa and Asia. Europeans settling in the Americas are recorded growing honeydew and casaba melons in the 17th century.
