I’m betting not many people, when asked as a young person, “What do you want to do with your life?” figure they will grow up to run the largest tomato seedling sale in the US. I know I didn’t.

Funny where life takes you. Here I am, thrilled beyond measure to be able to say, welcome to TOMATOMANIA! What a kick in the pants.

We have fun celebrating the world’s favorite summer vegetable (or fruit if you’re a purist) and talking about all the ways to grow, harvest and use your backyard gold – or red – or green or striped wonder.

As we prepare for the 22nd year of our event in California we have so much new activity to report and share. Look for book news, a fund raising model launch, a new tomato cage and more as the spring progresses. Oh — and ketchup! That’s been a long time coming and may actually happen this year!

We’ll welcome new hosts this year too as TOMATOMANIA! stretches out into new communities. Hope you’ll come and join in the fun.
